Nigerian migrant commits suicide after being denied residency

A 25-year-old Nigerian migrant, Prince Jerry, has committed suicide by jumping under a moving train in Tortona, Genoa, Italy, after his request for a residency permit was rejected.


Jerry had requested for the permit on humanitarian grounds.

However, after his rejection, he deceived to end it all on January, 28, 2019.

The Biochemistry graduate arrived Italy, by sea, in 2016, after a long trip through the desert to Libya.

He was buried, this morning, at the Chiesa dell’Annunziata in Genoa.
