Billionaire Femi Otedola paid a visit to ailing former Super Eagles captain, Christian Chukwu, in London.
Sharing a photo with Christian and NFF president Amaju Pinnick, he wrote;
“Yesterday with Christian Chukwu, the legendary former captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles 🙏🏿 I am praying for his quick recovery …F.Ote💲”
Christian Chukwu’s predicament became public following an appeal by the United States based patron of the ex-Enugu Rangers Players Association, Benson Ejindu on his facebook page.
He was then flown abroad shortly after money was raised.
Chukwu who played as a defender captained Nigeria to its first ever Africa Cup of Nations title on home soil in 1980.
He also coached Nigeria at the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia where they placed third.
